Announcing my return and explaining my absence

Good morning, everyone,
I hope this morning’s letter finds you well. As many of you have likely noticed, I have been rather absent lately, and I wanted to give you all an explanation and some context for where the newsletter and podcast are going in the future.
Where Were You?
As some of you may be aware from my video interview with then-challenger Qasim Rashid, I got back into campaign work to support Mr. Rashid in his efforts to challenge Democratic Congressman Bill Foster for the party’s nomination.
During my time with the Qasim campaign, I met many excellent people who demonstrated an intense dedication to fighting for a more just and equitable world. These people reminded me why I got involved in politics in the first place: to help my fellow Americans.

I couldn’t have asked for better colleagues and friends to work with, and not a day goes by that I don’t miss the chance to work with them all again.
Despite all the good work my colleagues and I did, Qasim didn’t receive the nomination, and my time with the campaign has ended. Despite the loss, I can safely say I don’t regret a thing. Those two and half months were some of the most fulfilling months of my life, and I will miss every second of it.
What Does This Mean for The Progressive American?
With my departure from the Qasim campaign, I now have more time to work on the newsletter and podcast. While I am still a graduate student finishing up my final semester, I hope to write at least two articles a week, though I expect to be writing much more. I will be releasing an article today at 2 PM CST about Candace Owens’s recent departure from The Daily Wire with my thoughts.
As for the channel, I expect to continue to do more interviews in the future and, ironically enough, respond to Owens’ criticism of John Stewart’s attacks on pro-Russian propagandist Tucker Carlson.
You can also expect more election coverage from me as the rematch between Trump and Biden kicks into gear. Depending on my access to some journals and the affordability of said access, I may also integrate more scholarly work into my writing in the future.
I want to thank you all for your continued patience and support!
Sincerely,
Conor J. Kelly
